Focus and Scope

JOEEL (Journal of English Education and Literature) is dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles and conceptual papers that advance knowledge in English language studies, English language teaching, and literature. The journal focuses on both theoretical and practical perspectives that address current issues, innovations, and developments in these fields, particularly within local, national, and global contexts.
The scope of JOEEL includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
  • English language teaching and learning (EFL/ESL pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, and instructional design)
  • Applied linguistics and language studies related to language learning (e.g., pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics)
  • Literature in relation to language studies or learning (literary analysis, literature in education, cultural studies)
  • Language, culture, and identity in educational contexts
